The Hyundai FREE Fun Run on April 2, 2011- My Race Kit

Tonight at past 7pm, I claimed my FREE race kit for the Hyundai Fun Run on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Hyundai Quezon Avenue. It was a hassle-free, no ques claim and in less than 5 minutes I am on my way home with my kit.

I would like to extend my appreciation to HYUNDAI for initiating this event. I hope that this will be a wake up call to those race organizers who are making the running boom a business and taking advantage to us runners.

Below are my shots with my race kit which includes, Singlet, Bib Number, Strider Timing Chip, Tote Bag and a commitment for another Hyundai FREE run! I love it!!!

Yakult 10-Miler - Race Day Tomorrow

Its already past 11 in the evening, today, March 26, is a very long day for me. This morning I had my final exams in Political Law, then I rushed to the office to do some pending tasks. And at 3:30 PM I was on my way back to school in preparation of my final exams in Legal writing at 6 PM.

At last, I was home past 10 PM, had my dinner and now having some rest before going to sleep. It will be another race day tomorrow, so I need  to get up at 4 AM.

Yes, tomorrow will be Yakult 10 Miler at the CCP grounds. I will be joining the 10 mile (16K) event. My first time to run 16K. I have done two half marathons (21K) but I skipped this distance.

It will be a great stress reliever tomorrow. My time to wind up after the week of exams and work.

See you on the road guys!

My New Free Mobile Phone

Today I got my new FREE mobile phone courtesy of my subscription renewal to SUN Cellular. My first 30-month subscription already expired and I upgraded to Plan 450 which includes unlimited call and text to the Sun network, with 100 pesos worth IDD and 250 free SMS to other network.

Well, for now, no other mobile network can beat the unlimited service offering of SUN cellular, cheap plans but reliable especially if you are just living within the city. I have also unlimited broadband internet subscribed to SUN.

For the free mobile phone, the options for Plan 450 are Nokia X2 and Nokia C3. I preferred C3 for me to experience the qwerty mania :-) and to add, Nokia C3 was the best selling unit for Nokia in the Philippines last year, that's because of its affordability and yet it is qwerty and wifi ready.

Here are some shots of my new C3;

Congratulations to the New Lawyers!!!

The Supreme Court announced on Thursday that only 982 out of 4,847 examinees passed the 2010 Bar examinations, bringing the passing rate to 20.26 percent, the second lowest in the last 10 years.

CLICK HERE FOR FULL LIST OF THE 2010 BAR EXAMINATION PASSERS

Oath-taking of the successful Bar examinees is on April 14, 2011, at the Philippine International Convention Center.

The passers were part of the examinees who took last year’s controversial Bar exam which was marred by a grenade explosion that injured some 50 people.

The passing rate for the 2010 Bar exam is lower than the 24.5 percent passing rate in 2009. The passers received a mark higher than 72.5 percent. Last year, the passing mark was 71 percent.

The passing rate for 2010 is also the second lowest in the past decade – next only to 2002 when only 19.68 percent passed the Bar exams.
